Feelin' loved!

I have the best fans and friends ever. Some were even asking after me! Sorry I haven't written all month, my foster momma has been really busy with school lately, and we just couldn't find the time to write together! Things are fine here in foster land. I am still learning new obedience tricks, going to pit bull school, and playing lots with friends. I cannot wait for summer to come! I think we are so close to summer, but the grey skies sure have made me think otherwise. But, I don't let grey skies get me down! Here's why:

Look at this! I am on "petfinder" now, so that maybe I will get one step closer to finding my forever people. And look, I have 37 facebook "likes"!!! Foster momma told me that the more people that "like" me, the greater the chances of finding my forever people. I sure do feel loved. Thanks so much to all who follow my blog and check in on me. Making new Friends, kisses gallore!

Wow, I had a really nice day last Saturday. I went to my usual "doggie school" where I learn obedience training, and guess what?! There was a whole party for all of us pit bulls! It was BADRAP's Open House! I got so many kisses and compliments, it was the best day ever. I was on my best manners and pranced around class showing off all my good moves. But, the best part was............ giving kisses!!!!

Wednesday Walkies!

Every Wednesday my auntie Lynette comes over and takes me on a walkies with my foster siblings. She and my foster mom give us all pit bull pedicures and take us on a walk in the neighborhood. I am Lynette's favorite! She is the one who made me cookies on Valentines Day. She makes me feel special and I love it when she visits. :-)

I look forward to every Wednesday walkies. Thanks Lynette for making me feel extra special and for taking the time to help my foster mom give us all pit bull pedicures and a little extra TLC. You are the best!

Fun in the Sun!

Wow, it is such a nice day here!!! I am about to go jogging, but I wanted to give a quick "hello" to you all. I hope all my blogger friends are getting to enjoy this nice beautiful day. I spent the whole morning out side with my foster friends while my foster momma did some gardening. I love it when I get to play outside!

Be good all my doggie friends, and stay away from those fox tails!

My big sister Sydney

I have the best foster sisiter Syndey Magoo. She is so nice and teaches me all about being a good little brother. We play and play all day long. At night sometimes we snuggle. She is so nice and even lets me sleep on the couch with her. I am so lucky. Sometimes she puts me in my place when I play too hard or when I annoy her. I really am like a little brother to her. She is brindle and has big beautiful eyes.

Look at us snuggle on the couch. I hope in my forever home I get to have a sister like her. It sure would be fun!

I went to doggie school today.

Every Sunday morning I get to go to school. Its so much fun! I see lots of other doggies in school and get to meet many nice people. I am a good boy and sit, stay, and heal on command. My foster mom tells me I am smart and a good dog. Professor Linda and Professor Tim coach me and tell me ways I can be a better dog. Its really cool.

Did you know that if you adopt me I come with a lifetime of free training classes? How cool is that?! BADRAP is a great support network for those interested in adopting a new pet like me. They tell me to keep learning so that one day I can make my forever home very proud. I cannot wait to find my forever home. I am starting to wonder if it will ever happen. I am such a good dog, with people, other dogs, and just about everything else! I hope someone notices me someday. Someone once said that "red dogs" take longer to find homes. I guess I am a "red dog". But, my foster mom comforts me and tells me that "red dogs" are pretty and that I just need to be patient. I hope the right people come around one day. I am crossing my paws for good luck!

Well, I am tired from school. I think I am going to go snooze in the sun with my foster siblings.... tail wags and kisses to you!!!

Bling Bling! Thanks Paco Collars!

My foster mom went out of town last week. I got to stay with a very special person who made me some "bling bling". Thank you so much Paco Collars for making me look so handsome! The light tan leather matches my golden red fur, and the light green stones match my light green eyes. My foster mom told me that I almost look like a different dog with such a pretty collar on.

My playdate with Arnie

Oooh! Guess what? I got to have an adventure of a lifetime the other day! I got to go to lunch with Arnie (puppy) and Ace (little human) and Arnie's foster parents Lindsay and Rich. Aren't I lucky?! And then after that, I got to visit the barn where all the doggies get saved and run around with Arnie. I wish Arnie could visit all the time. We had so much fun being dogs together. I can run FAST and so can he. I have never gotten to run in a field that big before! (Not to worry, it is safely fenced in, keeping me from any harm!) It was so much fun! Check out all the cool pictures. I get privileges like this because I am so good with other dogs. It sure pays off!

Thanks Arnie, Ace, Rich and Lindsay for such a fun day. I had a blast!

By the way, Arnie is in seek of his forever home. I hope I see Arnie again sometime. Sigh, I guess I can dream......

Such a sweet Valentine's Day!

My favorite person, Lynette, baked me cookies for Valentine's Day! She knows that I don't have a family of my own yet, so she wanted to warm my heart and bake me some treats. :-) It was the nicest thing in the whole world! I shared with my foster siblings, but I knew that those treats were really for me. Aren't I lucky?

I am what they call "dog social", which means that I get along with all dogs, depending on their personalities. I am even friends with a little chihuahua who lives next door to me. I always try to a polite gentleman to the other doggies I meet. My foster mom is so proud of me for this!!!! But, this is NOT to say that I can go to dog parks. Why? My foster mom won't let me go to dog parks. My foster mom told me that she doesn't want me to go to dog parks because you never know what can happen there, and its not safe. Urban Dog Sledding

Boy did I have fun today! Look what my foster dad taught me! I got to pull him on a skateboard. It was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!! My foster parents call it "Urban dog sledding". We went into this empty tennis court, and I got to run as fast as I can while pulling my foster dad on a skateboard. I can see why sled dogs are so happy!!!! I wish I lived in the snow so that I could be a real sled dog. But I guess for now, this will do.

My trip to Annabee's!!!!!!!!!!!

I got to go on a field trip yesterday all by myself with my foster mom. I got to go to a doggie bakery- Annabees!!!! It was so much fun! These nice ladies asked me to sit for treats. I behaved like the gentleman that I am. I got to eat gingerbread doggie cookies and get my back scratched by the nice lady who owns the shop.

My foster siblings at home were so jealous that I got to go to the bakery and they didn't! So, I brought them home a bag of fresh baked cookies so that they felt better. Aren't I nice? my foster mom was so proud of me for behaving so nicely. I even met a little wire hair terrier who I greeted very kindly and even wrestled with a little.

I've been a little worried about finding my forever home. My foster momma told me that if I stay the good dog that I am, that someone will want me home for keeps. I dream all the time about who that may be. I try to learn everything I possibly can about being a good dog so I can make someone out there proud to be my forever parent. For now, I am having fun learning my doggie manners and playing with my foster siblings.

Merry Christmas!!!

I just wanted to sign in for a quick moment and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!!!! I really like this time of year. I get to play in the mud, get lots of extra treats, and hang out! I hope you are all enjoying time away from work and being with family tomorrow. My foster momma told me that if I am a good dog then Santa will visit tonight and bring me some new dog toys! I promise to be a good dog!

My new friend Stella.

I made a new friend!!!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves. She is cutie pie brown dodo bird like me. :-)

Stella and I play "hide and seek", where I give her a head start and she goes and hides in the bushes. Then I try to find her and we spin in circles around the bushes, she tells me "Catch me if you can fella!!!"

Don't tell anyone, but I have a super big crush on Stella. She has the biggest smile I have ever seen....her smile makes me smile!!! If dogs could giggle, I would giggle when I think of Stella. I think she may have a crush on me too, but we are both too shy to admit it. It makes my foster mom happy to see us play. She told me that I am "dog-friendly" and that she is so proud of me for behaving nicely around visiting dogs. I have made other friends besides Stella too, I will have to tell you all about them another time.

I hope she comes over to play soon! Check out her big smile. You will see why it makes me smile... giggle giggle!!!

A little more about my past.....

So, like I said before, I came from the Napa Shelter where that thing called "time" was coming to an end. Before I was at the doggie shelter, I was a homeless dude on the streets. This isn't to say that I don't have manners however! I learned very quickly that the couch is not the same as a fire hydrant and that I only should go potty on bushes outside. I try very hard to please the people around me. As long as they give me clear directions, I do what they wish. Street life was no fun at all, and I much prefer to be surrounded by nice people.

I got a little worried at the shelter because I just wasn't sure if anyone would want me someday. This nice lady Deassa took notice of me. She pulled a couple strings and got me into the best rescue group EVER! BADRAP! Now I get my very own foster home, and I get to go Doggie School (Pit Bull Education) once a week. All I want is to be a better dog and when I go to school people tell me I am a good boy and that I am very handsome. :-) Its the coolest thing ever. Without Deassa, none of this may have happened. I am super lucky and grateful to her.

Hi! I am Dexter!

Hi folks! I've been meaning to write, ever since I left the shelter! Sorry it took me so long, I had a little trouble figuring out this keyboard thing....

I came from Napa Shelter about a month ago. My "time was up", but I still don't know what that means. What is time anyways??!!?? Life is goooooood these days! I have new doggie friends, new foster parents, and lots of fun fun fun! Have you ever met Jim Carry? My momma tells me that if I were a person, I would be Jim Carry, 'cause I make her giggle so much! I am a real clown! I don't mean to be, but I am just being myself, and I make people laugh! How cool is that? I am soooo happy to be out of the shelter, because I was getting a pretty confused and depressed in there. Since I left, I've pu on weight and gotten back to my jolly self. I love people so much! I like to wiggle my butt, wag my tail and give kisses every time I meet someone new! And, I love dogs too! I have so many new friends, life's a big party! I will post pictures of me and my friends soon. Nice to meet you all! I'm gonna sign off and go play with my new kong.
